Nobody’s perfect. I’m finally learning this for the first time at 30 years old.
Oh sure, we all know in our brains that this is true. We understand it on a rational level. But it’s much different to really feel it in your bones to be true. And, of course, it’s the most refreshing, calming, weight-off-my-shoulders feeling. It feels great to really know this and accept it.
I have more compassion and forgiveness available for others, which makes life a whole heck of a lot easier. I’m not as married to certain outcomes or expectations of how people should be, because let’s face it you never really have access to a whole person even if you know them really well. People will always surprise you.
And I feel more connected to people. So that’s nice.
Ain’t nobody perfect. And that’s just great.
