    This is a thought-provoking post, Andrea. I read Frankenstein back in University, but never thought about it that way. It also strikes me now as an allegory for fear of creativity and the creative process: we want to create something, but we’re terrified we’ll create something monstrous that will ultimately destroy us.

      Thanks, Amanda! And whoa! You just took it to an even deeper level! I hadn’t thought of it as an allegory for creativity. But I think you’re totally right. It’s a perfect example of "Be careful what you wish for".
