I’ve recently updated this website to better reflect how I want to show up as a writer.

Over the years, my site has taken on a few different shapes. I’ve experimented with blogging, essays, and writing about ideas beyond fiction. (See this post for why I stopped blogging altogether a couple of years ago.) Those posts are still here, but going forward this site will be focused on my fiction and current projects.

I feel most at home, and most honest, when I’m focused on storytelling. Writing fiction, thinking about narrative, and living inside stories is where my energy and excitement naturally go. It’s where I feel most in alignment with what I’m sure I’m supposed to be doing. Blogging regularly (or rarely), no matter the subject, was never something that truly fit or made sense to me.

So this brand new site that I love, love, love, is intentionally simple. It’s a home for my books and the work I’m actively writing. I’ll share updates when there’s actually something to announce, such as a new project, book release, or meaningful milestone.

At its core, this site is about the work itself.
